Newbie Questions
I am very new to selling on Amazon. I sell books via FBA. A few things I have noticed and am wondering if it is normal or if I may be doing something wrong.
1) My shipments are taking forever to get into "Active" status. It's May 15th and shipments that arrive on May4th are still not completely avaialable.
2) Those items that are "Active" on my inventory page don't seem to be showing as Available when I look at the item on Amazon. I don't understand why.
3) The books I am selling show as "Pending" for long periods of time. At least it seems long, over a wek and a half for the oldest.
Any insight?

You will be waiting on Amazon for your entire existence on here. There isn't a specific time frame for anything and if they tell you there is, don't believe them.

That's a very short time. 3-4 weeks is typical; 5-6 weeks is not out of the question.
Pending orders can be because there is a problem with the customers payment, or it can be simply because Amazon hasn't gotten to their order yet. Non-Prime orders may take several days to fulfill; the "awaiting payment" message is the only one Amazon has, so that's what shows regardless of the actual reason.

you have to overthink the term "forever". Eleven days is REALLY nothing in Amazon time. You want an example? I have a shippment delivered on April 15 and it has not even checked in!
Don't you live in the country you sell in? That could be the answer.

It can take some time for a shipment to be fully processed. I'd recommend reading through this page and using the tool on it to determine if your shipment is eligible for investigation yet.
This could just be if the system needed some time to fully update after you listed the products. Can you help share if you added them manually through Seller Central, or through an inventory file upload? If issues are still persisting please create a case with our support teams for some troubleshooting.
