Only FBA inventory is eligible for a lightning deal?

Hello,

We just had a quick question regarding running a Lightning Deal.

We were reviewing the help page to see how to run the deal and here is the question.

For the product to be eligible to run the deal, it says Products must be Prime-eligible.

You can choose either Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) or Seller Fulfilled Prime in Shipping Settings.

So does that mean we can both utilize the inventory fulfilled by Amazon and Merchant?

For example, we set 20 Committed units for one ASIN and we currently have only 10 units in FBA inventory.

However, we have 20 units available for Fulfillment by Merchant inventory.

So we are still qualified to sell the ASIN since the total sellable inventory is 30 units.

Please let us know if we are understanding it correctly or the deal is appliable for only FBA inventory.

Hope to hear back from you soon.

Thank you.

Hello! @Seller_KBhfsAxTtedT9

This is Roberto and I wanted to follow up on your post.

The lightning deals are available for Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) listings as long they are Prime-Eligible as you mentioned. However, when creating the deal you can only choose one SKU per ASIN, the deal will not combine inventory from Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM), from the deal creation dashboard you can choose your preferred SKU and that's the one that will be used for the deal:

img

To give you an example, if you have 5 units in your Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) listing and 10 units in Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) listing, and you select the SKU from the FBA listing to create the deal. The Deal will run with the quantity only from the FBA inventory.

Let me know if this answers your question.
