One star review by ghost customers! How do we stop this?
I recently launched five products in one category under my own brand and I am the only seller on these listings. A few days after this launch, all five products have the first review - But one star and no detailed text.
I checked the customer review report (As a brand owner we can see product review report), and these reviews do not show up. That means, these orders were from somewhere other than us even though I am the only seller of my own product.
I suspect this is a widespread black hat tactic used by overseas sellers where they probably list exact same ASIN in the overseas marketplace, fulfill it, and engineer a fake one-star review. Which eventually gets merged with the US marketplace listing under global review.
I wonder why Amazon BOTs cannot catch these black hat tactics knowing these products are only used and Launched in the US market but gets the first negative review from overseas!
There is only another seller of these products and their business address is in Mandarine, overseas and I strongly suspect no other person has an interest to hurt my new listings than this competitor.
I have seen many posts on this topic, hence decided to elaborate on this topic and ask for suggestions on whether anyone was able to get it removed. Also how to get Amazon to catch this type of abuse and eventually remove it? I have submitted many cases in various ways to report it but as everyone knows, it is not moving anywhere.

Then there is this one. I think this is the 4th I've been reading in the last 2 days. Clearly an insider job to take out competition. Yet Amazon will not do anything, while sellers are destroyed....

Thank you for your information @Seller_AWak2AZyzhw16,
I understand your concern and we have directed the feedback on this issue to the appropriate investigations team, however due to the internal nature of these investigations it's not possible to provide updates. I'm sorry for the difficulties this creates.
Its recommended that you continue to report violations using the Report Violations tool. Amazon does take violations and review/ratings manipulation seriously, however for the security of these processes we do not disclose why a rating or review as or was not retained. Thank you for your understanding.
