0% VTR although Buying shipping from Amazon

All my orders received through Amazon I now buy postage through Amazon however my VTR is still 0%. I cannot input the tracking number I receive on my proof of postage at the post office even in "Edit Consignment" there is no provision to enter a tracking number. I have taken to buying from Royal Mail Tracked 24 which I print BEFORE I go to the post office. I can then put in the tracking number from the label. Again however I still register 0% VTR. Any suggestions please? I am close to leaving Amazon after 12 years on the platform.

If you buy a tracked service through Amazon buy shipping, Amazon automatically enters the tracking number against the order at the time of buying the postage, there is nothing for you to enter.

If you buy an untracked service through Amazon buy shipping then there is no tracking number to be entered so the box is empty at the time of buying postage and cannot be altered, There is certainly no tracking number on the POP you get from the Post Office, so I wonder what you think you are trying to enter?

The VTR is a rolling 30 days, so you will need old orders to drop off and newer orders where you bought postage through Amazon to be included.

When they first brought this in we had 0% but after using Amazon buy shipping for everything (all non-tracked service) we have been at N/A ever since.

Hi Bullet_Polish_Europe,

The VTR System is very complex

I don't often use Amazon Buy Shipping but I think if you do, it only gives you a Tracking Number if it's a Signed-For parcel. the others are not given Tracking Numbers and are excluded from VTR and you are unable to enter a Tracking Number (or a bar-code number from the POP!)

If all of your items are letter or Large Letter your VTR will drop and will finally show N/A (not applicable) which is fine for VTR assessment

If you send some items through Amazon Buy Shipping and others from R. M. then the ABS ones are ignored by VTR and you're only assessed on the others - but R. M. are not scanning all items on delivery (only around 80%).

So if you send 99 items through ABS and 1 through RM which is not scanned on delivery you'll get a 0% VTR. If, however, you've entered the RM Tracking Number correctly Amazon will validate it 'in the background' and will not suspend you.

I hope this helps

Brian

That doesn't make a lot of sense.

If you buy ALL your postage via Amazon, you should not need to enter tracking numbers and your VTR will eventually become N/A.
