REIMBURSEMENT REVERSED WITHOUT REPLACEMENT

Hello Amazon Mods,

We've just noticed a huge amount of money, deducted from our account by AMZ as a Reimbursement Reversal for 2350 items. Originally these units were reimbursed to us as: Lost_Warehouse , Damaged_Warehouse , CustomerReturn , CustomerServiceIssue. But right now, after the Reversal charge, we can't find any of these units as added back to our inventory in any report.

Please note my message and help to clarify: 1) which report exactly should show us these 2350 added back to inventory? 2) Within which time frame after the reversal does AMZ add the charged units back to inventory? 3)Amazon's policy says: "If a reimbursement was made in error, or if a reimbursed item is later found and returned to your inventory, Amazon reserves the right to reverse the reimbursement credit that was applied to your account". How can sellers find out if it was an error initially or not?

Our current case ID is 14810234771. Thanks in advance!

Hello @Seller_WAZyaZUs3YGES,

Thank you for reaching out. Are each of you still experiencing this issue with reimbursements for items lost or damaged at an FBA facility? For these reversed reimbursements, has the inventory been updated?

Please be sure to check your FBA Inventory details to check if the inventory was found and is being transferred between warehouses or otherwise being prepared for sale.

FBA inventory reimbursement policy

If a reimbursement was made in error, or if a reimbursed item is later found and returned to your inventory, Amazon reserves the right to reverse the reimbursement credit that was applied to your account.

I will review your seller support case Id and respond back shortly with next steps.

Cheers,

Micah

Hello, unfortunately we are still in the same situation.

As the reimbursement report showed, numerous "Reimbursement_Reversals" were done by AMZ on the same day Feb 20, and they only concerned 2 FNSKUs with a total of 2349 units.

Reimbursement_Reversal must mean that we had previously received a reimbursement for this inventory, because it was lost/damaged/not returned by customers, but recently units were found at FBA. Accordingly, we charged back for this inventory with the understanding that all those 2349 units should be added to our inventory on the same day 20th of Feb. Since yesterday, I'm going through Adjustments, Customer Returns reports and I don't see any of those 2349 units added back to our inventory.

Please check our Case ID , where more details were provided: 14810234771. And if possible, let us know your thoughts of where are all those 2349 units, for which we paid back?

Thank you in advance! @Stevie_Amazon @Glenn_Amazon @Troy_Amazon @KJ_Amazon @Michelle_Amazon

Dear all, @Stevie_Amazon @Glenn_Amazon @Troy_Amazon @KJ_Amazon @Michelle_Amazon

I know that it's important to wait till the end of the investigation in my case ID 14810234771 and to get the detailed response about our situation, but I believe it will be also helpful to get your professional opinion here. Especially for those people, who are going through the seller forum to find answers to all the same questions and of course these people don't have access to my cases to see the final answer.

So the question of all sellers is: if Amazon charged Reimbursement_Reversal for some goods, and these goods are supposed to be returned to our inventory instead, in which report should we see these "inventory return" transactions? How soon after Reimbursement_Reversal should the system reflect the returned inventory?

Thank you in advance!

This happened to me but fortunately it was one item. We were selling an item on Amazon and then Amazon decided to eliminate the part number from the Amazon Catalog so we could no longer sell the item and pulled all our inventory. About a year later, Amazon magically finds one item and adds it back to inventory, charging us for the item. We can't sell the item, so we try and create a removal. Two years later the item is still showing up in the computer but not available for removal. Two or three open cases later, I just gave up. But if it can happen with one item, it could happen with a lot of items. Sorry this is happening to you. Its interesting how Amazon has all these deadlines for 3rd party sellers but none when something goes wrong on their end. There is no deadline when the inventory sitting in our account "in cyber space" can be reversed and credited back into our account.

I believe it's a proper time to return to the discussion now, because it's the end of the next week already and we still got no answer in our case 14810234771. In my case I've tried to show a small example, so that SS can easier investigate, but our question is still valid for ALL those 2349 units, for which we were charged in "Reimbursement_Reversals".

If you go to check the Ledger report, Customer returns, Inventory at FBA - you will not see these units added back on 20th of February. Why should Amazon charge us thousands of dollars for units, that never showed up?

Please help us end this story on a positive note: in which report do we see all of 2349 units added back to our inventory?

Dear @Micah_Amazon, unfortunately even now, after 3 weeks, our problem is still not resolved. I am getting some messages from seller support, but they are absolutely not answering the main question.

I want to hIghlight that nowadays issues like ours happen to many sellers and you can see this here in the comments to the topic, so this would be really nice to find a proper solution with you together.

As a seller who paid back thousands of dollars on 20th of Feb 2024, I would like to be able to download the detailed AMZ report for the Reimbursement Reversal for 2350 units, where it would be fairly described: 1)which units were first lost; 2) how were they reimbursed; 3)how and when were they found and returned to inventory; 4)how much we did we pay back for them.

So please help me to get that report related to Reimbursement Reversal of 20th Feb 2024.
