Brand Registry challenge
Hello everyone,
I prduce individual custom stickers by myself. So I don't buy products from wholesalers and redistribute them, but I make stickers at the customer's request.
I have applied for a trademark at the Trademark Office in Germany.
What do I have to do next with the Amazon webshop?
My Amazon Brand registration was rejected because my brand name is not on the products, but neither does it on the stickers.
Do I need the Amazon brand Registry and how do i get the ASIN Number ?
Thanks for your support.
best regards
Gerrit

so you are on the uk forum here but referring to the German trademark office.
For brand registry you need to register for each marketplace you sell in, so UK/DE/ES etc. if your trademark is German, this is Ok for DE, but my understanding is it would not accepted on UK.
however, for brand registry to be accepted, your trademark or word mark does need to be permanently affixed to your product or packaging.
so in the case of stickers, one assumes you could develop some packaging, or perhaps have your logo affixed to the peel off backing?
You don’t need brand registry however, you could still build listings under your brand, just brand registry has more protection.
ASIN numbers are nothing to do with brand registry, you get allocated an ASIN when you list a product new to Amazon. You either need a product with a barcode, or get GTIN Exemption for your brand.
