Account reserve means I never see my money
I’m a very small used seller on Amazon for over 10 years since the account reserve came in I hardly get paid and all my money gets eaten by postage.
The reserve is 7 days but it’s not as it’s 7 days plus the delivery date! And as an individual seller Amazon claims the delivery date for sending a cds standard post is 10 days. As a individual seller there seems to be no way to change this. Standard second class post can take up to 5 days at the most.
When I first sold on Amazon I got paid every 2 weeks and then it changed to once a week, both of theses were fine and I actually got my money. Now I feel I’m never getting paid is there anyway to change the delivery date to a more accurate time scale?
(I don’t really sell enough to justify paying for a professional account and used cds aren’t really a high enough item to put tracking on when posting.)

Have you checked to see that your bank account deposit method is still verified, with a green tick beside it ? - most of us have to re-verify this every so often - I had to do it fairly recently.

I would try buying postage outside of Amazon. What seems to happen with DD+7 is that postage you buy through Amazon gets deducted from your available balance. If there is no available balance it then reduces your future available balance.
You should be able to link up Click and Drop and pay for your postage that way.
You should get some money out of Amazon that way. Although you will always have some you can't withdraw.

If your sales are increasing it can take ages to see any money , as you say it gets eaten up by fees, postage etc particularly if you start selling more than normal :(

If most of your money is being eaten by postage, the simple matter is you're not charging enough for your items. I realise selling cd's etc you will be competing with other sellers that charge peanuts but that's the real issue. It's not about the account reserve.
If you were charging enough to properly cover your postage and make money on top, you would have gotten into a pattern of being paid out every 2 weeks by now.

DD+7 is the worst policy in the history of online selling on any platform anywhere. It is vicious circle that has been created by Amazon that causes the problems that they are claiming they want to prevent. All business has to have cash flow to operate, this stifles our cash flow leaving us unable to fulfil orders quickly, restock, pay our wages etc.. literally 99% of my claims and bad feedback are due to not being able to post orders on time because I can’t pay the postage because my money is held by Amazon. Many will say that I should use Buy Shipping and the money would be deducted from my balance, I do this for my UK and French shipments (even though I can get the delivery elsewhere cheaper) however for the other marketplaces I do not have the options I need in Buy Shipping. I send my European orders from France, (I won’t go into why because it will take far too long, let’s just say I’ve had extremely serious issues with the IOSS system which has destroyed my credit rating and cost me thousands and I’m not willing to chance it any longer). I want to use Buy Shipping for my other European marketplaces but the only available option is DHL who you need to have an account with. I can’t sign up to DHL UK and send from my French address and I can’t sign up for DHL France as my company is registered in the UK therefore I need money to pay for the shipping which is being held by Amazon in case I have any claims. In basic terms the reason I get claims is because Amazon is holding my money. This is a massive Catch 22 situation because if I had my money from the balance I’d have no claims or bad feedback.
Thanks Amazon for creating this living hell for me. I’m not a thief so if I did have a claim or refund request I would just give the money back, again the only reason I do get claims is because of this policy. I don’t need my money to be managed for me by Amazon, I can do it myself. I understand that there are dodgy sellers but you can see from a seller’s record how they perform.

Even with changing my postage up my issue is still with how long Amazon say standard post in the uk takes, wonder if any of the mods can clarify why the postage is listed as taking between 5-12 days when I set a cd to standard post within the uk? If it was actually set to between 3-5 days which what second class post is meant to take then my delivery date + 7 wouldn’t be that bad and I would actually get my money at a reasonable time. (Please don’t tell me to use a pro account or a tracked shipping method as in my original post I explained its not cost effective)

I too am having trouble. As a solo seller and not earning much, I keep seeing my takings going up and my payments being reduced. I have not been paid since 3rd March and that is 25 dAYS AGO. What are you playing at Amazon. ISNT JEFF Baos (whatever his flippiing name is) rich enough? He is benefiting from the interest on MY MONEY. I am 76 pensioner and just do not understanding this fiddling around with my income. I would like to close but I dont even know how to close the account as it charges you for three months etc
