Joint owner on banking account declined verification ! Help!
Please help. I wrote in two other threads and I am ignored. I am married, joint owner on a banking account that I am using with Amazon for 18 years. Suddenly my bank account can not be verified because I am not the principal. A joint owner is equal partener in a bank account. Who verify this things doesn't know that? I do not have a separate bank account and I have been doing business on this account for 18 years. Why Amazon makes it so difficult? This is my last attempt to get help,; there is no help in Amazon seller page and I hope some moderators can help me. US citizen , not a power seller. I want help only from Amazon employees please. Thank you.

This is a forum for sellers, not for Amazon employees. If you want help ONLY from Amazon employees: go in your seller central, on top click "Help" and create a case. Describe your problem.
(If you would let us give you an advice I just would say "why don't you go to a bank and open your own bank account? this is really not difficult.")

I'm not an Amazon employee, but I'm still going to reply. Amazon expects you to have a business bank account in the name of your business. Perhaps you should think about separating your business and personal accounts. Will probably make it easier at tax time too.

Let's be PERFECTLY CLEAR here --
When you say " I wrote in two other threads and I am ignored." you are correct and you did not get help BECAUSE you tried to hijack a thread trying to help a DIFFERENT SELLER.
This is the FIRST time that you have opened your own asking for help.
When you say 'I want help only from Amazon employees please.' you should open a case and NOT post on the SELLER FORUM.
You claim to have been on here for 18 years but your first post on the Forum was THREE DAYS AGO which would probably explain your lack of knowledge of how Forum protocol works.
Let's see if we can get you some help here anyway.
Hey MODS, when you get a minute away from all the INFORM junk and suspensions is there any help for the OP and former hijacker here?

Hello @PositiveSub
Thank you for the information provided. I understand you are encountering an issue when attempting to verify your banking information. When you are providing the documentation, is your information highlighted to clearly indicate the account holder? If this can’t be accepted, could you acquire a letter from the bank to submit that includes all the necessary detail regarding your account?
If you have any additional information or errors to share, continue to share here for additional guidance.
Your friend,
Atlas

The same thing happened to me. If you are not the primary name on the account you will not be verified. I had to open an account in my name only, then was immediately verified and approved.
Good luck.

This can be solved. Call your bank verification department, and for a few bucks, they'll write a verification letter stating that your name who lives in that address, is also in control of this account as well.
they send that letter via email in a few hours.
Add that letter to the BEGINNING of the bank statement, joint both in a pdf and submit. ( with some PDF joiner or such online)
This should work. But you have to call your bank, at the nearest agency the accounts manager will give you the phone number so that you can proceed. This is a common practice. Good luck.

We had a similar issue. Went to the bank and requested a "verification of account (s) ownership and submitted it. Hope that helps.
