FBA Split Inbound Shipping

Okay so as many of us know Amazon is now charging a fee if we dont split our shipments into different boxes to different locations. Is there a way that Amazon provides us the boxes and locations they want from us once we provide them with the quantities? Because as of right now I am providing the quantities, shipping box dimensions/weight and then they decide to tell me to split it up right at the end of the process. This seems very inefficient. Am I missing something? What's the best process for this?

Amazon has an estimate of the quantity needed in:

Menu>Inventory>FBA Inventory

Also in

Menu>inventory>FBA Inventory> Restock dropdown

I try to keep over 30 days but less than 90 days inventory between avaiable and inbound. Do the math for your SKUs and create an inbound workflow for the inventory count. The workflow will split it up for you to where Amazon wants it.

Hi @Seller_HiZjs35ZwAz3d,

Dominic from Amazon here, happy to provide some additional information here.

Inbound placement options will be provided only when your shipments qualify. Factors that affect the number of inbound options include the following:

- Whether your shipment includes a mix of standard-size items, non-standard-size items, or special handling categories

- Whether each box contains the same mix and quantities of SKUs

- Quantities and number of boxes for each item

- Geographical demand

To maximize the number of inbound options, try the following:

- Create separate shipments for standard-size items, non-standard-size items, and each special handling category

- Ensure that the item mix and item quantities are equal across all boxes

- Increase the number of boxes
