Amazon Standard Shipping Credit Hopelessly Outdated
More than 6 months ago, USPS raised the price of shipping (via standard media mail/book rate) from $3.99 to $4.29 for the smallest books, $4.59 for regular-sized books, and $5.19 for most hardback books , but the Amazon standard shipping credit remains $3.99, meaning that for every book I sell, I'm losing anywhere from 30 cents to $1.20 from the "expected profit" Amazon calculates. I have had to de-list many books because it will cost me more to sell them on Amazon than I will receive after shipping. How do we get Amazon to raise its credit to match the actual post office price?

Take it from a long time seller....Amazon is not going to raise the shipping credit you receive from a sale. It's been $3.99 "forever." Instead you need to raise your prices and/or have a professional plan (costs $40/month) and set your own shipping rates.

Pay attention to what @Seller_z3XfkorVSmnEYhas said. They will NOT change anything for sellers that are unwilling to spend the $40/month for the PRO Plan.
Amazon is no longer a good (or even decent) site for selling books. They are also trying to force everyone into using all of their services that make them money.
The days of the NON Professional seller on here is numbered and the number is decreasing rapidly. If you don't sell 40 items a month Amazon is not interested in supporting you in any way.
Do what so many other book sellers are doing and move things to eBay and other friendlier sites.

Your not getting 3.99 amazon takes 15 percent of that so you get 3.39 if you don't count in the 1.80 fee. Media mail is up 18 percent since Dec 2023.
