Vine program wrongly charged in the uk!

Hi. we are Brand Sellers in the Uk as well as in the USA. We got email news from Amazon that we could enroll our products on Vine to get reviews. see the link attached:

https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/headlines.html?id=G78FFXR6827UGT7U&ref=nslp_all_4_G78FFXR6827UGT7U_en-GB_ttl_rf_recent_news_5

To help boost sales and build product awareness, brands can enrol up to two units per ASIN in Amazon Vine for free from 9 a.m. (PT) June 5 to 5 p.m. (PT) July 21, 2023.

With Amazon Vine, you’ll get reviews from a community of unbiased and insightful reviewers to build credibility and improve discoverability of new or slow-moving items. Vine reviews are also more likely to contain helpful votes, images and videos than non-Vine reviews.

Note: You’ll only be charged the £140 enrolment fee if you enroll three or more units per ASIN and receive the first review in 90 days.

For more information on how to enrol, go to About Amazon Vine

We enrolled one of our products ASIN: B08L9VVG85 on 06/06/2023 and we were charged the £140 fee when it clearly says per Amazon News and Promotion that we could enroll up to 2 units without charge.

We entered the case in seller central but they didn’t solve anything… as usual case ID 8837107172 . In June 19 we were charged the fee. How is this possible? We also enrolled for France and Italy and now we are afraid you will charge us for those as well. We really need the reimbursement of this charge as it clearly states that it’s free of charge so sellers can boost sales! We really are tired of always dealing with incompetent seller-central people answering whatever. Sorry, we don’t want to offend anyone, but this is just getting worst and worst. We also have been charged several fees we don’t even know what are for, and we ask about it and no one can get us a response. And we are losing money on this.

So we are asking for help with this issue as we can’t accept that Amazon Offer to Sellers a free promotion and immediately we get charged when it clearly says it’s for free. We do also want to know the origin of a lot of charges we got from Amazon UK we don’t even know what the charges are for, and its not good we cant have the information on what you are charging us for, so big amounts of

We will be waiting for your response ASAP. Thanks

Sincerely

Hello IBIZA_SUN_ESPANA!

Thanks for sharing the details of your case - I am going to investigate why you have been charged and also escalate the incorrectly answered Seller Support case.

Can you please provide me some more information on those charges? Did you open a case with Seller Support regarding them? If yes, could you please share the case ID as well?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am in similar position as I did not fully understood what the promotion was. I enrolled 1 parent asin with 3 child ASINS with 30 products (could be unit) and I will possibly be charged when I receive reviews.

How many ASIN’s did you enroll, and how many units in each of them?

What I now understand is we could enroll for as many ASIN’s as we want (up to 200 limit in below Amazon news) but we should enroll max 2 unit of products for each ASIN. I hope I understood.

Please someone tells us how this works  below is from Amazon News:

Thanks…

### Update: Enrol two units in Amazon Vine free of charge until 21 July

We recently announced that brands can enrol two units per parent ASIN in Amazon Vine free of charge until 5 p.m. PT on 21 July 2023. We are now sharing more information on this promotion, based on frequently asked questions.

Amazon Vine helps you build brand awareness and boost sales of new or slow-moving products by inviting trusted reviewers to review your products.

Until 21 July, you can enrol two units for up to 200 parent or standalone ASINs in Amazon Vine free of charge. When you enrol, you can set the unit count to two, regardless of the number of child ASINs, to ensure that you won’t be charged programme fees.

The offer is valid for each store in which the parent or standalone ASIN is listed, so you can enrol the same ASIN in multiple stores with a quantity of two units.

As long as the ASIN is enrolled during the promotion period, you won’t incur any Amazon Vine fees if the product receives a review after the promotion period.

You will only be charged the £140 Amazon Vine fee if you enrol three or more units per parent or standalone ASIN and receive the first review in 90 days. FBA fees and other standard charges still apply.

For more information on how to enrol, go to About Amazon Vine.

I expect the Mod will come back with an update, but in that chat log at 2:23 you mention you didn’t enroll 3 or more units, just the 1. I think there’s some confusion between the number of ASINs that can be enrolled and then how many units of each ASIN you can choose to give away. How many units of your 1 ASIN did you choose to give away to Vine reviewers?

I expect the Mod will come back with an update, but in that chat log at 2:23 you mention you didn’t enroll 3 or more units, just the 1. I think there’s some confusion between the number of ASINs that can be enrolled and then how many units of each ASIN you can choose to give away. How many units of your 1 ASIN did you choose to give away to Vine reviewers?
