Invoice not fulfilled by supplier

I applied to sell a few Grocery & Gourmet Foods products, most got approved, but for one of them I get this response:

We have reviewed the documentation you provided and determined that it does not meet our requirements for the following reasons:

- You have provided an invoice that has not been fulfilled by the supplier. Work with your supplier to obtain an invoice that has been fulfilled.

I'm not sure what they mean, can someone help?

It means the invoice does not show that, and how, you have paid for the items.

As @Its_all_Nuts_again mentions they may have provided an invoice with a ZERO paid and shipped if an item is on backorder.

It could be what they call a "pro forma" invoice -- basically, "here is what it will cost you if you actually buy these items".

Or it could be a lot of other things. Amazon is great at just using a standard template response to just about everything.

The more important stuff since you appear to be brand new is what follows.

PLEASE pay attention if you have not done any studying on Seller U since suspension are running rampant with newbies currently.

You MAY be confusing AMAZON allowing you to list (or at least "ungate") an item or category and actually being APPROVED to sell a product. AMAZON is only interested in FEES. They will allow a chimpanzee to list if it means they collect $$$$$.

PLEASE pay attention to the following:

The first question is -- Are you authorized IN WRITING by the BRAND to sell their items on Amazon?

More and more brands have provided a "whitelist" of their approved sellers and if YOU are NOT on the list you will be stopped in your tracks and probably hit with an IP violation.

The second (and probably more important) question is -- Where are you sourcing your products? Are you buying direct from the brand or through an AUTHORIZED wholesale source?

There are a LOT of FAKE wholesalers out there ranging from places like Sam's Club, Costco. BJs Wholesale and others to all those Gray market providers touted on TikTok, Twitter, YouTube and other places. AND there are places like Ali#$#$ that sell counterfeits and knockoffs.

Any of the guys mentioned have resulted in so many account suspensions that it is impossible to count the number.

When Amazon says in Seller U to use an Authorized Reseller they mean an AUTHORIZED (by the BRAND) Wholesale Distributor – NOT some random wholesale distributor that has “thousands of brands” in stock but is NOT authorized by the brand.

Hello @Seller_KOneqZxJTPqM9,

Michelle at Amazon here. I understand it can be frustrating when you are trying to get approved to sell your products. As @Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EI and @Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp have provided you with great information. When you apply, make sure it's an actual invoice from an authorized reseller or your invoices will be rejected.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Regards,

Michelle

That would be incorrect advise.
