Dropdown menu does not include ISBN
Hi All,
I'm trying to list a book for my client and I have a problem.
When I have to type my product ID I'd like to add the ISBN but it does not appear in the dropdown menu. I have only ASIN, EAN, GCID, GTIN, pzn, UPC...
When I'm trying the EAN, it says error 8752, EAN is invalid etc...
How should I solve this?

Where are you listing it from ?
If you go to your inventory and click on add a product, you can type in the ISBN there and it should display the book. Or you can search by title/author and on the correct page click on 'Sell Yours' which appears at the right hand side below the buy box.

Are you simply listing a book that is already in the catalogue or are you attempting to create a new catalogue entry from scratch?
If the latter...good luck!
I find it is now virtually impossible to create new ASINs in books unless you have 'authorisation' from the publisher (or 'brand owner' in Amazonspeak...).
I went through the motions the other day for a book that had an ISBN that wasn't in the catalogue.
The system allowed me to add all the details but when it came to 'submit', it gave me a message that the ISBN did not match the product, which was nonsense but you can't argue with bots. :-/
A pointless waste of time... :-(

Silly question, but I assume you have chosen Books as the category to list in?
It's not infrequent that I add a title not already on Amazon and can't say it's a problem, although these are used books.
Just tried to create a new listing and ISBN is in the dropdown for me.
