Premium shipping options/ Delivery Estimates

Hi all,

We've been having a problem happen occasionally recently.

We offer free standard shipping. We do offer as well, location depending, premium shipping (2 day and next day).

However, recently the not-consistent delivery estimates have forced us to buy labels that are drastically more expensive than we charge/ should be paying for them.

For Example, Yesterday we had a 2 day premium order come through midday. This order was being shipped to a state/location that was only 2 days regular ground shipping away from us.

1 hour later we went to buy a label, and the second day air label showed as "late delivery". All other options were grayed out, which forced us to purchase a next day air label spending almost 40$ instead of 18$. If this was just a singular issue, it wouldn't be a big problem. But it has happened more than a few times in the last couple months.

If the customer purchased the item 2 day shipping, why would UPS 2nd day air not show up as a label we could purchase? It seems like the bloated delivery estimates Amazon gives on labels can affect us super negatively when it comes to premium shipping.

Is there any work ticket I can submit? Or is this a widespread problem people are also having? We've tried increasing our premium charges without getting out of hand, but it still doesn't seem to be covering the ones that are beyond expensive.

@Seller_OQTPwvIVqfKpB I'd be happy to jump in here and assist!

Carrier eligibility and available ship methods is dependent upon a number of factors, but the most common reason a ship method is ineligible is that the delivery date of the ship method is after the order’s promised delivery date. More information on this can be found on the Missing carrier or ship method help page.

To your most recent occurrence of this happening, it could have been driven by the second day air option not being able to ship out the day you were requesting to ship, which ultimately pointed you towards one day air being the only available option that would meet the order's promised delivery date.

If you have an unshipped order with a similar situation, please feel free to provide that for us to take a look on our end!
