Inventory placement fees

So let me get this right, Amazon got rid of the small and light program which was great for 3rd party sellers. Now they are implementing the Inventory placement fee which makes no sense as only to make more money for Amazon. This is not helping the 3rd party sellers in fact its killing them!! How are we supposed to make it on this platform when Amazon constantly puts up hurdles and makes it extremely difficult to interact with their customer service department. Is there another way around this or are we just the little guys here and have to just sit here and take this abuse..

We're always reevaluating our products for FBA suitability. When it doesn't make sense, we stop selling FBA or stop selling all together.

Inbound placement options will be provided only when your shipments qualify. Factors that affect the number of inbound options include the following:

  • Whether your shipment includes a mix of standard-size items, non-standard-size items, or special handling categories
  • Whether each box contains the same mix and quantities of SKUs
  • Quantities and number of boxes for each item
  • Geographical demand

To qualify for the Amazon-optimized inbound option with no inbound fee, your shipments must include at least five identical cartons or pallets per item. Each carton or pallet must contain the same quantity per item and the same item mix.
