Section 3 Suspension

Hello,

I created my first Amazon Seller account back in October 2023. Recently, I got an email saying that my account has been deactivated in accordance with section 3 of Amazon's Business Solutions Agreement. They said that my account has been linked to another account and that I need to provide evidence that I have never owned a separate account.

In order to provide evidence that this is my only account on Amazon and to verify my identity, I provided: a picture of my government-issued identification card, a picture of my passport, my latest bank account statement, 2 different copies of invoices from my supplier that account for the first 3 listings that I made as an Amazon seller, and a letter of authorization from my supplier allowing me to sell their products on Amazon.

I got a response saying that this was insufficient and that they still find me related to this other account. What type of documentation or evidence should I be sending? As I said before, this is my first and only account and I do not recognize the name of the account I'm being linked to.

Best,

Hi @Seller_P1acBXnPA07v5,

Thank you for your post. I understand you are dealing with a related accounts issue for which your account has been deactivated.

In this scenario, we have found shared information between you and the account to which you are linked. This does not mean that you necessarily own the other account, but rather there is a link between the two of them. The other account has been deactivated for policy violation. Due to the shared information between the two accounts, your account has also been deactivated.

In order to get the account reinstated, you will either need to provide proof the account to which you are linked has been reactivated, or provide evidence showing these accounts no longer have contact with each other. In order to better assist, please consider the following:

- Have you had any third party assisting you with the account?

- Who all has user permissions within the account?

- If applicable, what is your relationship to these people?

- Do any of these individuals have their own selling accounts? Examples could be family members, current or former employees, or third party entities.

- If so, what information could have been shared between the accounts?

- If applicable, do these individuals still have access to your account specifically?

- What devices have been used to access the account?

- What is the timeline of contact with the other account?

- Do you know the name and/or owner of the other account?

Once you have determined the answers to these questions, you will then want to create and submit a plan of action that details the following:

- The results of your investigation

- Where, when, and what kind of information was shared between the two accounts

- How this contact will no longer take place in the future.

You may then want to consider providing any relevant supporting documentation in addition to this written explanation. Examples of this would be any licensing or contract documents with your third part, a dissolution of service document (if applicable), and financial documents to show monetary transactions between yourself and the third party.

Please feel free to reach out with any further questions or account updates, and we will assist you as best we can.

Regards,

Troy
