User Permissions Guide for Amazon Sellers
Hi Sellers 👋
As your Amazon business grows, you might find it difficult to manage everything on your own. Whether you need to delegate tasks to employees or grant access to a contractor for setting up listings, Amazon’s User Permissions feature can help you maintain control over your account while keeping personal information secure.
Key Information:
- This feature is available only to sellers on the Professional Selling Plan. If you’re not on this plan, you can learn how to switch here.
- User Permissions allow you to give controlled access to your account without sharing your login credentials.
Types of Users:
- Primary Account Users: The account administrator with full access to all account features.
- Secondary Account Users: Team members invited by the primary user, with customizable access to specific features.
- Authorized Partners: External contractors or service providers who are granted access via the Authorized Partners tab. These users only see the data you specifically allow.
Tips for Secure Account Management:
- Do not share your password; use User Permissions to provide access instead.
- Assign only the permissions necessary for users to perform their tasks.
- Regularly review user permissions to ensure that former employees or contractors no longer have access.
- Always add external service providers as Authorized Partners, not Secondary Users.
For step-by-step instructions, visit this guide: Set and Edit User Permissions.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Wish you all a great day! Ezra
