FBA Returns not damaged but listed as such

So far, I've had 3 of my FBA returns sent back to me and NONE of them were damaged. None. They said they were "Unfulfillable" because of "Customer Damaged".

My settings allow for FBA to return the item to Inventory, even as Used.

Now I have a parade of returns (these are many different types of items, not the same):

img

Don't I pay Amazon FBA to check returns and not just list them as Customer Damaged? They are not inspecting and I get charged for shipping the item back to me... so I can inspect and pay to ship them back to FBA?

Don't I pay for FBA to inspect customer returns? They are really dropping the ball here. Can I report getting perfect items returned to me?

Most of these returns are for reasons such as "Unwanted item", "product not as described", "accidentally ordered wrong item", "Found better price"... so, they shouldn't all be damaged.

Why send inventory to FBA only to have it sent back to me?! The amount of these, as a percent of my sales, are getting ridiculous.

"Don't I pay Amazon FBA to check returns and not just list them as Customer Damaged?"

How about that. When using FBA, sellers pay Amazon to do whatever they think is best so they can sit back, do nothing, and watch the profits roll in.

The reality is, FBA centers are real sweat shops where no employee ever makes a mistake. If an employee would make a mistake, it is counted massively against them. So, it is just plain easier for the employee to say defective and return it to you. That way, the problem is over and gone out of the building. If the seller complains, as there is no proof and it just becomes another situation of a disgruntled seller wanting to take advantage of Amazon.

It is Jeff Bezos idea of how the company should be run. Most likely it will not happen again, to you anyway.
