Claim Against Hermes

I want to make a claim against Hermes for an item returned to us, using an Amazon pre-paid Hermes return label. As the returned item never arrived to us, as the courier hermes damaged the item and said it was undeliverable. We have tried to put in a SAFE-T claim but Amazon have refused saying we need to claim against the courier Hermes. However, when trying to put in a claim against Hermes they're saying the sender (who provides the label) needs to. As Amazon provides the label to the customer, the claim needs to come from Amazon. So currently we are stuck with nowhere to turn. How do we go about getting either our product or money back?

Please advise

Thanks.

A known issue that amazon refuse to do anything about.

Amazons terms are clear and you are supposed to claim via Evri. It was found on another thread that for Royal Mail losses - you can use the Royal Mail terms on the APRL page to make RM understand their obligations. Thing is, the terms for Royal Mail are specific to labels bought through amazon.

Sadly, the Evri terms are just Evris generic terms, so no reference to Amazon at all.

The only luck anyone has had in the past is to lodge a claim for a parcel of yours that Evri have lost - though obviously, that requires Evri to lose one of your own parcels first!

@Winston_Amazon @Julia_Amzn can someone give Evri a kick under the table and get them to understand their obligations to the system Amazon have foisted on us?

@Seller_mWVdELgLSPX3N - as a side note, you can unsubscribe from the Pre Paid Return label scheme - which avoids this particular issue.

Hermes is undoubtably the worst courier in the UK, if not the world. If you can, avoid them like the plague. They're so bad they had to do a complete rebrand to Evri to try and shake their terrible reputation. Hasn't worked though because their service is so painfully bad

I am in the same boat at the moment. I have 4 items currently missing in action, 3 of them over £100 each. Amazon have just refunded one of the customers as it was scanned into their warehouse over a week ago. We always appeal but know full well it will be declined.

I have successfully claimed once before from Evri but they have a limit you can claim. It was so painfully difficult to do, I am put off doing again.
