Action required: New certificate of insurance coverage

Hello. For the past few years every year Amazon has required a certificate of insurance coverage. It was not a big problem at first because the business was working fine and the gross proceeds from our transactions in Amazon stores exceeded $10,000 in a month. But in the past few years this is not the case. In the past year we even didn't manage to reach $10,000 in a whole year. We are located in Europe and to buy an insurance policy it costs more than to buy it in USA.

If anyone has any idea who I can contact to dispute this requirement. Most probably the requirement is being sent automatically every year.

You get this message from Amazon when your Seller Central account detects that its probable you are going to exceed 10K per month so, congratulations.

Unfortunately, avoiding this is not possible. Its a mandate. I would recommend you shop around to get the best price possible.

Lastly, as far as problems go, I would not consider this a problem at all. I have celebrated other sellers whenever they get certificate of insurance requests. That means they are headed in the right direction.

In order to ensure your documents are not rejected, make sure that they meet the following requirements:

  • Be valid (not expired, revoked, inactive or closed).
  • In order to ensure your documents are not rejected, make sure that they meet the following requirements
  • Be high resolution and unobstructed (clear, readable, visible and in focus).
  • Be complete and not cut off from any sides (not angled or cropped).
  • Be a scanned image or photo of the original document taken from your mobile device's camera.
  • Display the full document (front and back, if applicable).
  • Be less than 50MB in size.
  • Be in one of these formats: TIF, TIFF, PNG, JPG, PDF, and JPEG. Do not include special characters in the file name (examples: $, &, or #).
  • Be authentic and unaltered.
  • Must not be password-protected.
  • Be in one of these supported languages: Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese. If your documents are not in a supported language, you must submit a notarized translation in a supported language along with the original document.
