Customer returned wrong item

what happens if i received a return from a customer that was not my product? It is most likely an error when they dropped multiple items off at UPS and they mixed up the labels.

i see i can file a safe-t claim BUT do I have to pay to send the item back to amazon (which is big and heavy)

The customer has already received the reimbursement for the supposed “item” that was returned to me.

99% of the time this is not an error by the customer. This is usually a scammer keeping your product and getting a refund at the same time. This is sadly not at all unusual.

If it was shipped via FBA, go here and follow the link for FBA Returns Reimbursement. I've had mixed results, sometimes I'm reimbursed, right now I'm fighting a case where the reimbursement was denied and I'm trying to find out why.

As mentioned above, I believe this is usually intentional by the customer. It has happened to me several times.
