Why transit time for Economy Shipping is shorter than for Standard Shipping?
A rookie bookseller here. I've noticed when customer select Economy Shipping, the transit time is 2-3 days shorter than for Standard shipping. Should it be the other way around? I disabled the Economy Shipping option and now only offer Standard Shipping. Is this a right move?

Two possibilities come to mind.
Either you set up your shipping templates in a wonky way.
or
Very likely this is the result of Amazon's new policies, which allow a max Standard Transit time now of 5 days (instead of the old 5-8), but different rules for Free Economy. However, books are exempted from this rule, and can keep the 5-8 day transit time (which is needed for MM and BPM). It would not surprise me if poor programming by Amazon resulted in what you saw.
And yes, IMO disabling Economy is the way to go (I've never used it; been selling here for over 8 years, books only).
