Buyer abuse on Returns-FOR MODERATOR

So we have all been there on buyer abuse for returns. I have an order 112-3107428-9578604 of a book that was ordered on June 29th, 2023 with the reason code ITEM ARRIVED TOO LATE. The tracking number is 9349020111410530896066. This had arrived July 7th with was before the estimated deliver date. So the reason code is a LIE and the book arrived on time. The buyers comment for the return "I ordered this for a research project but did not receive it before I left the area." The request to return was on 8/1/23 which is 109 days after the item was ordered. GIVE ME A BREAK. You know the buyer had the book for 109 days and used it for his/her research. I AM NOT A LIBRARY AMAZON! First, the customer lied on return reason, second we have a 30 day return policy from the date received and now to make matters worse is that we just got the book back from our Post Office last week. They had lost it in the Post Office. The buyer should have NEVER been able to file a return claim since it was after the 30 days and arrived on time and we are under NO OBLIGATION to accept the package back from the customer since the return was filed 109 days after purchased. Of course the safe-T Claim can't be filed since it is over 60 days (We process Safe-T Claims when we receive the return package, but that will change after this order.) So Amazon issued a FULL refund of 125.53 and to add insult we had to pay for return postage of $15.48.

My frustration with Amazon is through the roof. We have been selling over 20 years and time and time again I am seeing Amazon not caring about the sellers and taking every dollar they can. I know, PREACH!

I want our $1225.53 back plus the return postage of $15.48. ACCEPTING FALSE RETURN CODES AND ThEN LETTING CUSTOMERS TAKE 109 DAYS to RETURN THE ITEM HAS TO STOP! I AM NOT A LIBRARY!

Hi @Seller_CofQGS63QUtOm,

Tatiana from Amazon here. Thank you for providing the order number and a detailed summary of your situation. I need to just get a bit more clarifying information from you.

Can you confirm that the return was requested on August 1, 2023? Additionally, can you let me know what date you received the return back into your stock?

The reason I ask is because the return request does fall within the 30 day period based on the receive date of July 7, 2023 and the return request date of Aug. 1, 2023.

Let me know if I have read this information incorrectly -- I want to be sure I have all of the dates correct so I can better help you.

Tatiana
