Need info about Proof of liability insurance coverage

Hello,

I am FBA seller from Turkey

I am selling schools supplies(pens,labeling etc.) on amazon US. I received an email about "Proof of liability insurance coverage" from amazon. I exceeded $10000 only 1 time in 8 months. My average monthly sales are $5000 and margin is low.

I contacted Amazon Insurance Accelerator and marsh offered $700.

The products I sell are low risk items. Do we have to provide this coverage ? What happens if I fail to provide insurance ?

Amazon says you MUST have it if sales go over $10.000, but there is a clause saying they can demand it any time, from anyone. If you do not get the insurance, they will suspend your account.

$700 seems about right given what I have seen. As @Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EI says, failure to comply will lead to a suspension.
