I have units stuck in FBA Germany (never used FBA Germany)

I have lost my cool with the useless nonsensical back and forth with Seller Support - perhaps one of you lovely people has any ideas  .

I noticed Amazon was charging me a small amount of storage fees in Euros. I am a UK only seller and only use UK FBA, never sold or stored units outside of the UK. Anyway, I figured out 2 units of stock are in FBA Germany , and I have no idea why.

I have no listings or inventory in the Germany marketplace, but sure enough there is 2 units in their FBA and I’m now being charged storage fees. I don’t care about the small fees but I don’t want any account issues arising from this.

Seller support simply do not understand. I’ve explained in extremely simple language about 6 times and the responses are all illogical or dismissive. I’ve also told them the FNKSUs of the 2 units, which I grabbed from reports.

Has anyone ever encountered this or have any idea what I can do, I just want these units removed from Germany FBA. To prevent any problems and stop the fees.

You need to do a cross border removal, you can search for the file in “help”. Its a bit flaky though, sometimes it works, sometimes they just cancel it. Sometimes they cancel the removal order because they cant find the units, probably because they aren’t there anyway. But definitely need to try this first anyway.

This may trigger a VAT liability in Germany. Hopefully if you get rid of them quickly you will be okay.

More to the point, have you worked out how they got there in the first place?

Do you have EFN toggled on? If so, best toggle off!

I never got anywhere with the removal orders, I tried 8 in a row and every one got cancelled within 20 minutes. Marked the units as unsellable on the flat file on 6 of them, and sellable on 2 just in case that’s what it needed.

Can not use SS as may as well be asking my dog to fix it.

I guess they’re just going to have to stay in Germany

We don’t sell in the EU but keep ending up with stock in EU fulfilment centres. As we don’t have an EU address we have to dispose of the stock to prevent storage costs increasing. I think it is wrong that this is happening and is costing us. Amazon needs to find a solution to this. As usual Seller Support are clueless on this issue. When I occasionally manage to get reimbursement they do the payment to DE so we end up with a euro balance in Germany we can’t withdraw and negative balances in other European markeplaces due to storage and disposal costs.
