The country of residence in Seller Central does not match the country of residence in the identity documents

Hey everyone, I could really use some help here because I'm having a bit of a mess with my Amazon seller account, and it seems like I can't get through to the support team.

I'm dealing with a situation where Amazon suspended my account because they say my country of residence doesn't match the documents I provided. I do not live in the US but I have an LLC there. I've tried explaining this to them over and over, but it seems like I keep getting the same automated response. They tell me to register a new account with a different email address and select the correct country of residence.

So, any ideas on how I can make them understand this situation? I really need to get my account back up and running to continue my business on Amazon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ask the guru who told you to create a US LLC. There is absolutely no need for this. You can sell on .com from almost every country in the world. And how do you want to provide an electricity bill for this LLC?

I understand you are in need of assistance updating your country of residence as the documents you have provided do not match this information.

The information submitted on any documentation per requests made by Amazon must match the information present in seller central at all times. You do not have to live in the United States in order to sell in this marketplace.

I do have to suggest clearing the cache and cookies of your browser and attempting to log back into seller central and update the country of residence. If this does not work, please also attempt to utilize a different browser to access Seller Central.

If you do not mind, could you please provide the case ID or any communication you a have received so the moderating team and I can better support you here?

Hi there @Cupland,So they literally ask me to create a new account. What I don't understand is how I can change any of my account information if my account is suspended, such as my passport number.

I urge you to work toward updating the information seller central for your account. This will result in the suspension of the new account due to the terms set forth in the selling code of conduct and multiple accounts policies, as all accounts related to or operated by the same seller must remain in good standing at all times; if one is deactivated they will all be deactivated.

You can try updating this information via the settings icon in the top righthand corner of seller central. You will need to follow this path: Account Info > Tax Information > Tax Information > 'Update Tax Information."

If this is unsuccessful, please reply here.

You will need to provide information that represents you and the documentation you have with your local government. Please also be aware that when updating this information, you may be required to update the remainder of your account information to match, and be re-verified.
