Are you notified when an A-to-Z claim is filed?
According to Amazon policy: "For every claim, Amazon sends you an email with details, and requests a response, giving you an opportunity to present your side of the issue"
I've been selling on Amazon for 10 years and never once have I been informed that an A-to-Z claim has been filed. I'm only notified when a decision has been made regarding a claim that I've never heard about until then. I've let it slide in the past but in December 2024 I got quite a few (all USPS delays) and my order defect rate is taking a hit. Of course I know I'm going to lose every single one of these so I'd rather just refund the customer right when the claim is opened. Am I the only one with this problem?? I've got everything turned on in 'Notification Preferences'. I've made several attempts to contact seller support but it's basically like talking to a chat bot. They aren't even close to understanding my question so the canned answers are irrelevant.

Not only have I not gotten notice, Amazon does not follow it's own policy, that the buyer MUST contact the seller AND give the seller 48 hours to reply and attempt to resolve, then make an A-Z claim. They have not followed this written policy for almost two years, to my own personal knowledge.

Why is no one talking about their great year-end sales.

Hi @Seller_owzaUcXTWr9Et - I’m Xander. Jumping in here: You should be receiving email notifications when a buyer files a claim (see “How to respond to an A-to-z claim”). Since you mentioned are not, I’d suggest making sure the email address is correct, checking your email spam folder and its settings (in case Amazon emails are being blocked).
I'm covering the bases here, but if you want me to take a look at the Case Ids you've opened with Seller Support, or a claim that you need help disputing, let me know.
Respectfully,
Xander

We receive a notification every time there is an A to Z claim. However, this year, A to Z claims seem to be switched to Chargebacks. We have over 24 chargebacks since October. For comparison, we had 3 all of 2023. We do get notified of Chargebacks via e-mail as well.
