Credit card verification
I just set up a seller's account and I cannot list my first product because it says "You’re currently unable to add or edit listings because either the credit card on file is invalid or the credit card is in the process of validating, which could take up to 24 hours." I read that debit cards do not work and I just changed it to a master card credit card. And tried again and still saying the same thing. My question is How do I know that it is processing for validation? When I go into my account it says "active" and doesn't indicate processing in the manage charge method section. What should I be looking for? Really need help in starting. Thanks

Thank you for your post. You must use a true/ real credit card. They will charge a debit card for fees, but need a real credit card on file. With Master Card, you may be redirected to a financial institution to verify your card with a security question to verify your identity, before being redirected back to Amazon. You may need to address a separate security question to verify that you are the card holder for each card that you provide to Amazon, and for each market you would like to sell in.
Note: We may periodically run a validation check on your credit or debit card.
We accept the following credit cards:
- American Express
- Diners Club
- Discover
- JCB
- MasterCard
- Visa
Note: We do not accept alternative charge methods, such as prepaid cards, gift certificates, checks, or online payment systems like PayPal.

Hello! Did you figure this out?? I am having the exact same problem and amazon is no help they just continue to repeat themselves and tell me to make sure the card isn’t prepaid etc. when it should be fine..
