GS1 barcodes

Disney Infinity figures are no longer produced. It appears that they have let their GS1 registration lapse and GS1 have reassigned the prefix to someone else.

Amazon have identified that the brand no longer matches the owner of the prefix so have removed all of the products.

I have tried explaining this to seller support but you can guess the sort of responses I am getting.

Has anyone encountered this before and found a solution?

I would imagine the answer is...sell it somewhere else.

You won't get amazon to understand the issue and you certainly won't be able to get GTIN exemption for the brand I would imagine.

I thought I was getting somewhere but...

Now Amazon are asking for a letter of authorisation from Disney saying that the new owners of the GS1 prefix have authorisation to list their products.

Amazon themselves set the listings up when they sold the product.

Look like Ebay is going to be the way to go. Amazon really are becoming impossible.
