A-Z claim lost. Amazon says it was delivered and it was not delivered

In an A-Z claim, Amazon first wrote "The customer reported an issue with delivery. In this case, the tracking information indicates delivered, but the customer did not receive the package. Because you provided sufficient information that proves order was actually received by the customer, we will not count the claim against your Order Defect Rate" . So despite saying the item was delivered, the A-Z was seller funded and not Amazon funded. When I appeal, Amazon wrote the opposite:

Why was my appeal denied? We have reviewed all available information and determined you have not provided sufficient evidence to prove delivery." So according to Amazon I provided sufficient information for delivery AND simultaneously I have not provided sufficient evidence for delivery.

1) Why is Amazon making two opposing conclusions about delivery

2) Tracking shows delivery, why would they say the evidence is not sufficient?

3) If initially they agree it was delivered, why was it seller funded claim?

in My opinion ... and ONLY my opinion....

this is done so that you get some "silver lining".. ie we aren't going to count that against your metrics.

but they are customer centric and when it comes to you vs a customer (even if its a scammer) you will likely be the one out $$$.

The situation you described is why many feel pressured (unfairly) into using Amazon shipping. Although there is no difference between a Fedex delivery YOU purchased vs one AMAZON purchased... except that Amazon IS making money off of shipping, as well as collecting the millions of dollars of shipping and getting interest on all of that money until the carrier invoices them
