If you can't prove to Amazon that the goods you sold were genuine and from an authorized source, then they will keep your money and you will never get it back.

Why was your account deactivated?

They keep your money when they have enough proof of a loss that you cause them with your actions. For example, if you sell items that you can not prove authenticity they count them as fake. If somebody is buying a potentially fake item on Amazon the damage is huge.

I apologize if my question seems out of place or bad etiquette (Im not sure if this is proper or not). But it's very relevant to the Ops post:
What happens to the money Amazon takes from a seller when they are selling inauthentic merchandise (I am not claiming the op did that - I'm speaking in generalities only).
As a buyer who encountered this issue twice, I never received a refund, and the seller claimed they never got paid; the last one happened to me two years ago. Now, I never asked for a refund and did consume/use the product. But if the seller never got paid, and I never received the refund then wheres the money?
Is there any truth to the rumors that Amazon sells these in-authentic claims merchandise through pallet sales, even though they claim to destroy it? I've heard this multiple times but have never officially received an answer or evidence to support one side or another.

Usually after 6 months of being deactivated your funds are transferred from ‘Account Level Reserve’ to ‘Expenses’ but in your case it was only after 2 months. In my opinion it should just be there indefinitely because it’s your money, but in Amazon’s defense, third party sellers either successfully appeal or request ‘Fund Disbursement’ in the first 90 days.
Best course of action is to find out why your account was deactivated (sounds like related accounts) and take your time writing you POA and appeal as many times as you need to get reinstated, it took me a few dozen tries myself. You can get your money back once your account is reinstated by appealing via disbursement-appeals. It is unlikely that appealing to get your funds while deactivated will be successful because to Amazon, you “engaged in deceptive behavior”
FYI - If you reach out to Seller Support and request to speak with someone from their leadership team 2/10 times you will get someone helpful that can actually request the reason for your deactivation internally and tell you why you were deactivated. If you actually were deactivated for related accounts, they only give you the first three letters of the account you’re related to for some reason and the date that account was started, but hopefully you can figure it out from there. If you were deactivated for something else then submit whatever you think you got deactivated for and see what information they tell you is missing in their second performance notice.

It's a routine. They do that. Especially if you're not living in the US and doing it offshore.
But you can serve them a notice.

Amazon is a TOTAL fraud and scam. Completely unethical and actually illegal business practices. Suspended my account as well, went years without an answer as to why. Would never respond to just giving me, my money back. 3 years later, they dispense the money to themselves under "other expenses". Good luck finding anyone that knows anything or would ever do anything. NEVER again would I participate in this complete and utter fraud called Amazon. What a joke. Good luck! I lost less than you, but $6500 is no drop in the bucket. If any lawyers want to start a class action against these fraudsters, give me a message. It should be investigated under RICO statutes. Cheers!
