Items lost in Amazon warehouse

Hello,

We experienced a loss of 65 units of the same item at the Amazon warehouse and requested reimbursement. However, they only reimbursed us for 50% of the cost for the majority of the units. Despite reaching out to Amazon multiple times to address this matter, they explained that the items were unsellable before being lost. We find this explanation illogical. Can anyone provide assistance on how we can secure a full reimbursement?
