VTR dropping quickly! But I have valid tracking numbers Click and Drop?

Hi all,

Maybe somebody knows and understands this?

We have started using Click and Drop recently. I have seen our VTR rating drop terribly recently to 74% (it used to be at 100% as we were buying postage through amazon)

As an experiment I have used Large Letter 48 tracked exclusively for the last few days, which is more expensive, even when I could have used regular letter, but wanted to know.

There are tracking details when I look over the last few days of shipped orders, which is odd, because I previously used Amazon's 1st & 2nd class when it was appropriate, and they don't have any tracking.

Can someone with more experience help me to understand this, should I be worried?

Thanks all,

Aaron

A few things.

First, postage bought through Buy Shipping is either exempt or automatically valid, so when you were buying postage through Buy Shipping, you were getting 100% because it was automatically valid. Now that you're buying through Click and Drop, they will appear as Invalid on your VTR metric if they don't have a delivery scan. This is *nothing* to worry about, as Amazon verify the tracking numbers in the background so you won't have your listings suspended. Your VTR will be low (ours has been 75% ish for 2 years) but you'll be fine. You'll just need to ignore the occasional email they send about your VTR because those are automated and sent to anyone below 95% even when the tracking is being successfully verified by Amazon.

Second, if you are sending letter sized post you either have to send it through Buy Shipping, or you need to start sending them as Large Letters instead as since March using Stamps/Franking is invalid and Letter Sized post doesn't come with delivery confirmation.

Third, the VTR window lags about 2 weeks behind us and is based on the Promised Delivery date, so changes you make now won't be visible in your VTR score/report for a couple of weeks.

Fourth, if you upload your VTR defect report here then we can see if there are any unexpected problems on it that might cause you issues. Usually, so long as the Tracking ID field doesn't say Invalid, and the 'Has Tracking ID' field says yes, then you'll be fine even if the 'Has Valid Tracking' field says no.
