Single Member LLC Tax Information

As a Single-Member LLC and a US citizen, I'd like to update my Tax Information to say the name of the entity ("XYZ LLC") and the EIN granted to it. Are there other US-citizen single-member LLC sellers who are adopting this approach on Amazon? Please help - would love to get some validation.

I have tried to resolve this by creating a case, but the Support response was not helpful to me. They say they cannot give Tax advice (which I understand). I came here and found some older threads, but no clear resolutions. Posting again to get the latest advice from other sellers.

Currently, if I follow the Help text on Seller Central, I'm told to use my full individual name. That did not match with the EIN when Amazon tried to verify the new tax info. So I had to revert back to my SSN.

I don't want to use my Individual Name, because technically it is not me, but the LLC which is doing business. Of course it's also a privacy issue and one benefit of registering an LLC (I thought) would be to get some privacy.

You do not need to do anything. Remember You are You.

With a single member LLC, it just owns your individual Amazon selling account as company asset. Amazon does not care how you file your taxes; it is the IRS that cares.

I am having a similar isssue. Because I am a single member LLC, I must use my SSN and full individual name in the Tax Information Section. It does not let me add the LLC as the name of the entity because it doesn't match the SSN. So I am not able to add the Liability Insurance because the insurance company requires me to use the LLC name as the insured name and my Individual name became the legal entity from the tax information entered and they must match. Have you had any success entering your LLC?

"...That did not match with the EIN when Amazon tried to verify the new tax info. So I had to revert back to my SSN. "

This is probably you tried to update your tax info right after you got your EIN from IRS. It takes up to 2 weeks for your EIN to populate in IRS system, that is why Amazon can't match the EIN with your LLC name. Just wait and try again after 2 weeks or so. It worked for me!
