Selling application keeps being rejected

Hi Amazon,

I have submitted a selling application for the American Exchange Group, but Amazon keeps sending me the same copy-and-paste message repeatedly. The last open case I had was #17090554671, which stated that the application was rejected due to a mismatch in information.

I have already submitted the invoice with the correct information; however, I keep receiving the same copy-and-paste message indicating that the application has been rejected.

Could you please follow up on my invoice?

This isn't Amazon. And you are getting rejected because most likely you have a pro-forma or a receipt. That group looks to be a retailer. You do not have permissions from any of the brands they sell anyway.

American Exchange Group represents some pretty major brands, and according to their website American Exchange Group products are sold to major and specialty retailers worldwide.

With that kind of language ("major and specialty retailers"), I would strongly suspect that you will need explicit authorization from them to sell their products. Did you include your written Letter of Authorization along with your invoices?

Good Afternoon @Seller_e4oKsQUqZpefx,

It appears a few of our seasoned sellers have shared with you some guidance on why your selling application might be getting denied.

Generally, I have seen sellers submit one selling application and then get vague feedback from the review team if more information is required (which I see that rejection feedback on CASE ID 17090554671 was a lot more information than most sellers usually see).

Once rejected the team requests new or additional documentation on that same application. Continuing to reapply for the same brand on new cases may be the reason why you are receiving the auto-rejection notifications.

I did want to provide the a link for Amazon's Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements. Listed below are the requirements for sourcing documentation request:

Copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured

These documents:

  • Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days
  • Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain
  • Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents

Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.

You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.

Additionally as @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw alluded to, a letter of authorization can be a valuable to your appeal in these situations if you’re sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer.

I also wanted to share our Seller University resource that addresses Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell.

Lastly, if you have a relationship with the brand/publisher, you can to be added as an authorized 3rd party reseller through Brand Registry (but the brand has to add you on their end). Once that has occurred you can attempt to list again and if you still have any issues reach out to support letting them know you are now in the brand's Brand Registry approved list.

Please carefully review all the feedback the team, other sellers and I have given you on your selling application in order to continue moving forward in the application process. Let us know if you have any questions about any of the information provided above.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
