can a buyer leave a negative feedback solely on the packaging being too secure?

Hi fellow sellers and amazon mods,

We have recently received a negative feedback on a book being packaged too securely e.g. having two layers of bubble wrap.

May be the buyer had to make an effort in opening the packaging. But we had some complaints from the buyer for books arriving damaged during transit. So we started giving two layers of bubble.

Why should a buyer be allowed to leave a negative feedback on too secure a packing. Can we appeal to remove it. Amazon mods please help. @Dougal_Amazon @Glenn_Amazon

the buyer writes:

"insanely wasteful packaging. cardboard box all covered in tape, then bubble wrap, then paper wrapping, then mode bubble wrap ... And this was for a hardcover book, not porcelain."

Our Response: Sometimes, we had complaints from buyers for books (hardcovers/paperbacks) being damaged in transit. So to be on safer side, we use bubble wrapping. Better to deliver intact product, rather than taking chances.

We had to issue refunds to some buyers for books arriving damaged during transit. So how and why is a buyer allowed to leave a negative feedback on too secure a packaging?

thanks

Buyers are allowed to leave whatever feedback they want. As a buyer, I do look at seller feedback. If I were to read something like this "complaint" I'd be more inclined to buy from you.
