Change to Default Handling Time Takes Place When?

Dear Amazon,

I am very concerned about forcing this idiotic change to a default handling time of one day. WHEN does this idiotic change happen? This was not covered in the email. Essentially, for many of us who need to travel to buy books, we will be forced to put our accounts on vacation constantly in order to meet this requirement. It's a horrible, horrible policy change. There is no need for those of us who are gone for a day to put our account on vacation, if we can retain a reasonable handling time of 2 days, and which the buyer has agreed to in advance. And why should we have to manually adjust SKU numbers to circumvent that which should simply be a storewide policy? Why, why, why do you insist on wasting our time to "nudge" us into your nasty preferences?

This problem is really caused by Amazon trying to once again bully sellers into more nonsense that need not apply. Just STOP.

We know it's been your fantasy to mandate this idiotic change for some time, but it really, really demands reconsideration. If my account and others' accounts are constantly on vacation, it will be a huge hit to the inventory available and also to our earnings, making Amazon less of a viable option for many. We're not switching to FBA, which is a horrible, horrible disaster for many reasons.

I do sometimes switch, VOLUNTARILY, to shipping every day when the volume is hot and heavy around the holidays, and when I am not traveling, but want to do so only AT MY OPTION.

This change is very heavy-handed, and I strongly recommend reversing course immediately.
