FBA Packing Requirements
We often get asked what the maximum height and width dimensions are for packing a shipment to an Amazon FBA facility.
Packaging your shipment correctly is crucial to making sure your inventory reaches Amazon safely and that it is optimized for entry into our fulfillment centers. In this post, we will share some of the basic pack group box requirements and provide links to additional resources.
In general, boxes containing multiple standard-size items or oversized items must not exceed 25.00 inches on any side. A box may only exceed the 25.00-inch limit if it contains oversize units that measure longer than 25.00 inches. Items with a dimension over 25.00 inches can be boxed with any additional 2 inches of packaging. So, a 30.00-inch item can be packed in a 32.00-inch-long box. Boxes that are excessively large relative to the oversize units (exceeding the 2 inches of cushioning recommended above) may be subject to restriction of shipping privileges, additional fees, or refusal at a fulfillment center.
Please note that some shipments have additional requirements, which you can find on the Shipping and Routing Requirements page, along with instructions on how to package shipments properly, acceptable standard boxes, box dimensions, weight, and more. You can also find a shipment checklist here.
