Northern Ireland - Extra Rules AUGUST
I see extra issues with NI - so Amazon what is going to happen, can Sellers block NI sales as that would be the easiest option if a manufacturer does not support all the NI requirements.
To note new EU laws, which means everything to NI as well. As a lot of makers are outside of the EU, if in England, Scotland or Wales, this applies now from August 18, and not in mid-December as the other EU law to show an EU address with email and phone number on the box. Amazon also want a photo of the items box showing those details and the UK details on each listing, as per previous bulletin. If not done by the beginning of December, that item will be removed from sale on Amazon, so that means no current items of many UK brands can be sold on Amazon and all of them will be removed.
We now see: Any with batteries included, eg built-in items, must be done by 18 August. Some items also incorrectly show batteries included, so it is best to do everything by the end of July
Lots of UK Mainland makers rather just sell to England, Scotland and Wales to avoid having to get an address in the EU and all the insurance and other implications. So Amazon Mods please inform if that is going to be possible, or if not, lots of items will be going this year as we have contacted several makers and all but one said then just do not sell to NI.

New EU requirements for batteries
In 2024, EU Batteries Regulation is being introduced for all standalone batteries and batteries that are contained a product for sale in the EU and Northern Ireland. This regulation will require all eligible batteries to carry a CE mark and have an EU Responsible Person.
If you use Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) and are based outside the EU, you must provide your Responsible Person information by August 18, 2024, to avoid removal of your listing. In April, we’ll launch a tool for you to submit your information in Seller Central, which will be displayed on the product detail page.
As the regulation changes, your batteries must be compliant with all existing applicable legislation, including the General Product Safety Regulation.
