Good Evening @Seller_zDAxbSyRyI2Dy,

I wanted to follow up with you regarding UPCs and selling on Amazon. We verify the authenticity of product UPCs by checking the GS1 database. UPCs that do not match the information provided by GS1 will be considered invalid. Obtain your UPCs directly from GS1 (and not from other third parties selling UPC licenses) to ensure the appropriate information is reflected in the GS1 database.

Important: All invalid product UPC listings will be removed and may result in your ASIN creation or selling privileges being temporarily or permanently removed. For more information on licensing UPCs from GS1, see the GS1 standard website.

If you believe your product should be GTIN exempt, you can take a look at the categories that qualify here and apply for exemption here.

Also, the guidance shared with you on CASE ID ending in 5091 was incorrect. If the product you are listing has a brand, it needs to be sold under that brand. Per the Amazon Generic Product Policy: "The Generic products are unbranded products that do not belong to any identifiable brand. An unbranded product does not have a distinctive name or logo. Using another brand’s Intellectual Property in your generic product listing, or listing a branded product as generic, are violations of our listing policies. For more information, see our Brand Name policy.

Please let us know if you have any questions regarding the information shared above. Have a wonderful rest of the week.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
