Can i use the GS1 barcodes on my products rather than the FNSKU label amazon provides?

Hello,

I didn't get much of a definitive answer with the Amazon support so hopefully can shed some light here.

I print my products with the GS1 barcodes I purchased, i'm also brand registered.

When i send out shipments do I need to also need to stick on the FNSKU label or can I leave this off.

I've been printing the FNSKU labels and then sticking them over the GS1 barcodes for each product. Quite time consuming and wondering if this was necessary?

Hello,

100% you can use your barcode with your GS1 prefix.

You have to set up your listing not to use an AMZ barcode.

First off, I'm just making sure when you created your product, you entered the EAN. If so, keep reading. If not, you must try to add it to the listing. ( if this is the case, please tell me I will help)

If you're currently using AMZ barcode for your listing, you must make a new listing under the same ASIN; the easiest way is to create a new condition.

Go edit > add a new condition:

Now create a new SKU, insert the price and click "Amazon will dispatch" > save and finish

the following screen will allow you to use a type of barcode as seen below; ensure you select the manufacturer's barcode and then list it as FBA.

Now it is against amazons policies to have the same product as FBA, but this is how I do this, and I just let the old SKU run out of stock and then send things into FBA on the new SKU,

Also, in your settings, try to enable your barcode preference to be "Manufacturers Barcode" then Amazon will use it as the default.
