Enable local placement in Germany, France, Italy and Spain with a single VAT registration number
Pan-European FBA through Call-Off Stock (COS) has launched, simplifying the process to either enroll or increase your placement options on Pan-European FBA. Now you are only required to have a single VAT registration number in either Germany*, France, Italy or Spain to enable additional local storage for eligible ASINs in any of these countries. This is allowed through an EU-wide legislative simplification, where Amazon is now able to place your inventory in other countries (while you retain ownership of the inventory), and at the moment of order, Amazon purchases the unit and re-sells it to the customer.
The Pan-European FBA benefits available through COS include:
- Save on your fulfillment cost by up to 53% (vs. EFN)**
- Provide fast delivery with the Prime badge and increase your sales by up to 30%***
- Accelerate your growth with flexible storage in Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
To use Pan-European FBA through COS, go to your FBA settings page**** and select countries to enable for placement through COS. For more information, see here.
* Germany is available for COS placement to those selling partners who meet all COS eligibility requirements. If you are unable to do so, please consult your tax advisor to review the implications of your previous activities in Germany (which may have led to a VAT registration requirement).
** Calculated as the highest achievable savings comparing the EFN fulfillment fees with the local fulfillment fees for each size/weight.
*** Based on a February 2020 study with 876 Pan-European FBA selling partners with all European countries enabled for storage, compared to similar FBA selling partners not using Pan-European FBA.
**** To be eligible to view the COS settings page, you must have a VAT number in either Germany, France, Italy or Spain which has passed both external and Amazon verification, as well as using FBA in either Germany, France, Italy or Spain.
