Payment Method
I’ve been having trouble with my card that I updated on my Seller Account. It says active under the manage payment card, but is also giving me a message saying that I need to update it. The card is a fairly new, a legit bank, debit/credit card and is active. I’m not sure what the issue is and I can’t login to my Seller Central account until this issue is resolved. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello @Seller_EKXEQFIxqfcsA,
Thank you for reaching out. I have reviewed your account and see that you are attempting to add a card that is not considered valid. I recommend that you you add an actual credit card that you have to apply for. Debit cards have a range of permissions/functions depending on the bank, cardholder, etc. A debit card may or may not be accepted.
For bank accounts and credit cards, please review this resource and consider the following items below when determining if a card is valid.
- Is the credit card valid?
- Is there a minimum charge amount?
- Are you using a pre-paid card? (Note: Use of a pre-paid card is not accepted for a selling account.)
- Does the bank have a record of the charge attempt?
- Are there bank limits or policies that prevent the charge attempt from being authorized?
- Is there any incorrect credit card information entered? (Note: All the credit card information entered such as number, name, address, ZIP code, or expiration date must be an exact match with your card details.)
- Is this chargeable in the currency of the Amazon marketplace where you registered your seller account?
Please let me know if you continue to run into issues after adding a valid credit card.
Cheers,
Micah

While Amazon says in places that a Debit card is acceptable, many people report problems.
Use a true CREDIT card. Update first on the buyer side, then wait at least a few hours, and that card should appear on the seller side to choose as your default.
